The Protégé (2021)

The action of the film is transferred to the distant 1991. The story originates in Vietnam. Then a professional killer discovers a little girl, but instead of killing her, the main character decides to save her life and, moreover, establish his patronage over her, and then take her away from these places. So thirty years later, Moody was not only a father to her, but also a mentor. He decided to put his soul into Anna, to teach her all the qualities and skills that were only inherent in him.

So by this time, these two have turned into real partners, professional killers who perform contract killings for a very good reward. So Anna is the owner of a store selling collectible books in London, and she does this only for the pacification of the soul. Now her life has become calm and unremarkable, until Moody asks to do him a favor. But soon it turns out that he was killed by the same hired killer as himself.
