Dark Shadows (2012)

This story began in the seventeenth century, when a surprisingly handsome and rich man, Barnabas Collins, could afford a lot. He broke the hearts of beauties, making them unhappy, and he didn't care at all what they experienced after parting. He breaks the heart of the beautiful Angelique Beauchard, she is a witch and knows how to punish the offender. When a traitor falls in love with a charming girl and prepares to join his hearts with her, the witch casts a spell and the bride, under her hypnosis, throws from a cliff into the sea. She curses the man she hates, rewarding him with terrible abilities, he becomes a vampire who is destined to suffer under the thickness of the earth, trying to realize his whole life.

Two centuries pass, earthworks are being carried out at the place where Barnabas was buried alive. Quite by chance, the workers come across a coffin, they are surprised, but a strange find does not stop them at all and they open the lid to their sad fate. The vampire walks slowly towards the Colliweed, which finds him in a terrible state. Time has not spared him, given that the family's business has declined and all his relatives live on the verge of poverty. Now the main character will have to plunge into the modern world, where his old enemy still lives, with whom he will certainly have to deal, because she managed to ruin his whole life.
