Descendant (2022)

A documentary about the unusual history of the sunken ship "Clotilde". The peculiarity of this story is that the sunken ship was the last ship carrying "live" goods. At that time, they had already begun to prohibit the transportation of slaves, considering this occupation not humane for a civilized society, and therefore all flights were conducted exclusively in a black way. Smuggling of such goods was stopped and severely punished, but huge amounts of money did not stop the dark dealers and therefore they continued to violate the law.

The American Civil War was changing direction, people wanted to live in a free country, and did not accept slavery, because it completely violated the rights of a free person. Criminal gangs managed to smuggle black goods unnoticed, they deftly hid slaves in secret ceilings, creating secret rooms under the hold of the ship. In terrible conditions, chained people had to swim, they could neither sit down nor stand up. The last ship heading to the shores of America was scuttled to hide evidence of the slave trade. Some illegal passengers managed to escape, after which they organized their own city near those tragic places, preserving African traditions.
