There was only chance here, as he believed, but the further he went in his thoughts, the more he realized that he was a pawn in someone's game. The death of a neighbor became so fatal and dangerous that a series of murders in the neighborhood followed. For a small town, these are too serious incidents, for the sheriff, such consequences become strange, and it does not feel very pleasant for him when the relevant authorities decide to deal with the case. Everything here becomes suspicious, it seems that someone is watching the widow, and she is insanely scared, perhaps she has something to hide or be afraid of someone, for sure she is hiding a monstrous secret that may soon be revealed.
