Like Stars on Earth (2007)

The touching Indian movie tells a story of the nice eight-year-old little boy by the name of Ishan Avasti. The kind, charming boy has bright imagination because of what as though half lives in the thought-up world. And it would not be a problem if Ishan well studied at school, but neither exact, nor the humanities give in to the boy in any way. Letters are danced, figures turn over and to deal independently with this problem does not leave in any way, and adults do not listen. Every day Ishan hears that he is a dull idler who will achieve nothing in life. Teachers are dissatisfied with it, parents are dissatisfied with it, and each conversation on school discomposes the boy. Everything that he wants, it to draw for pleasure and cheerfully to spend time on the street. There everything is clear! And at school there is nothing interesting, and there is no house too.

The situation seriously becomes aggravated when severe Nandkishor Avasti, the father Ishana, makes the decision to send the son to a boarding school for problem children. They say, there on time - two cope with hooligans and idlers then children start life with a clean slate and any more never come back to old bad habits. Nandkishor is sure that the strict discipline will do the boy good, and then Ishan not only will begin to study more diligently, but also will understand how it is good to live at home. Quickly enough little Avasti realizes that a boarding school - the gloomy place in which there are no happy people. Need to implicitly follow the mode and to submit to all upsets the boy, every day he dreams less and dreams, therefore, and draws less frequently. Ishan grieves for parents, but now, having remained alone, he does not believe that they miss it too.

Teachers do not notice how one of pupils turns sour. They are sure that he already followed a way of correction what with pride report on Nandkishor on. But here to replace the old and spiteful art teacher the new person comes. His name - Ram Shankar Nikumbkh, and he is young, kind and vigorous. Unlike other workers of a boarding school, Ram at once notices that Ishan has problems which need to be solved, and he tries to build up the confidential relationship with the boy. Whether it will turn out to save the kid at mister Nikumbkh or that already managed to become reserved finally?
